Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, today announced that Midfielder Kevin Buchanan of the Chicago Machine has been traded to the Washington Bayhawks in exchange for Midfielder Jarrett Park, according to MLL Commission David Gross.

Buchanan
graduated from Ohio State in 2008 and was named Great Western Lacrosse
League Player of the Year that season as well. Buchanan finished his
collegiate career as the second all-time leading scorer in OSU history
with 175 points. He was taken by the Los Angeles Riptide with the fifth
overall selection in the 2008 MLL Collegiate Draft.
Appearing in nine games for the Riptide last season, Buchanan scored 8 goals and also had 5 assists.
Park, a graduate of Syracuse University, was drafted by the Boston Cannons in the third round (18th
overall) of the 2005 MLL Collegiate Draft. He played four games for
Boston that season. Park was then traded to the San Francisco Dragons
prior to the 2006 season. In 2008, Park was traded after four games to
Washington where he appeared in six games for the Bayhawks, scoring 3
goals and 6 assists. In 38 career regular season games, Park has
scored 28 goals, including 1 two-pointer, and 26 assists for 55
points. He has also collected 157 groundballs.
While at Syracuse, Park won two NCAA National Championships in 2002 and 2004.
Washington will hold their first training camp session this Saturday. Chicago begins camp the following weekend.
